It is the \u2018United Nations\u2019 prime vehicle for encouraging awareness and action to protect our environment. World Environment Day has become a global platform for public outreach, with more than 143 countries participating annually. First organized in 1974, it has been a major campaign for environmental issues ranging from marine pollution, human overgrowth, and raising awareness about global warming, sustainable consumption, and wildlife crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/spsti.org\/\">Society for Promotion of Science &amp; Technology in India (SPSTI)&nbsp;<\/a>has organized online competitions for the students of classes 5th to 12th from all over the India. Students are advised to go through the details before registration and submitting your entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check out the Contests below<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Students can participate in one or both the events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"toggle_85d361397daf6299e\"><a href=\"https:\/\/spsti.org\/world-environment-day-2020\/#85d361397daf6299e\">Plant a Tree &amp; Describe<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plant a tree near you and click a selfie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write or type in MS-Word, up to 500 words essay on the tree that you have planted, challenges on plant survival and care required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload your selfie-photo in JPG format and Essay in PDF format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"toggle_cd88f6939ce239921\"><a href=\"https:\/\/spsti.org\/world-environment-day-2020\/#cd88f6939ce239921\">Video Declamation<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Topics for video making are \u201cBiodiversity &amp; its Importance\u201d and \u201cThreats to Biodiversity\u201d.
